Made to order, to your specifications
Every piece shown is available on a made-to-order basis. Through this process, we work together to make sure you get exactly the piece you have in mind, made to your size from the start.
With pearls and gems that cover every part of the visible spectrum, sterling silver, and gold alloys available in white, yellow, rose, and even green to choose from, every piece has the potential to be very uniquely yours.
Important Notes on Ring Sizing
Many of the rings available from Kuiper Relics feature highly mechanical settings, and bold architectural features which are integral to the ring body. Some cannot be resized without compromising the setting structure, some can be resized minimally.
It is important to note that a wider ring will feel tighter than a narrow band of the same size. Depending on the proportions of a wearers fingers, some may find wider bands harder to remove, necessitating a larger ring size, while band width won’t make any difference to others.
If only there were a rule of thumb, like “add 1/2 to your regular size.” The truth is, if you are considering a wider ring, the only way to be absolutely sure what size to buy, is to try on a wider ring. If you see a design that resonates with you, but you are more comfortable with a narrow band, we can work together to modify a design to your tastes.
Semi Custom and Fully Custom
Some custom requests might necessitate more in-depth rework of an existing design. For example, changing a design’s proportions, the shape of a stone, or adding new features.
If my works page inspires you to commission an original design or collaboration, I would love to hear about it.
Pricing
Starting prices are listed for most designs. These factor in the amount of material, design complexity, and labor involved in building the piece. Custom work, such as changing an existing design, or creating an original design incurs a higher price.
When commissioning a piece of jewelry, the following considerations will greatly influence the price:
Choice of metal
Natural or lab grown stones. Wild harvested or farm raised pearls
Type, grade and size of stone or pearl (Many of the designs photographed here are flexible enough that they can be adapted for a different size stone or pearl)
